Organizational Structure Workgroup

The purpose of this group is to draft the structure of ITMIG, establish necessary connections/relationships, documents and initial funding. This group is also charged with establishing a mechanism for broad review, discussion and refinement of the proposed structure.

Research Workgroup

This group will establish research priorities, establish a structure and process for review of research proposals, define funding needs, promote fundraising and maintain a list of ongoing clinical trials

The purpose of this workgroup is to define data elements, establish a platform, define resources needed for an international database. This project will be closely coordinated with the IASLC staging committee.

Process Standards Workgroup

The purpose of this group is to propose standard operating procedures for handling and reporting of surgical specimens, both for pathologists as well as surgeons.
